Stunning victorian era architecture is beautiful preserved in Eureka's Old Town. Mansions from the past line the cobblestone streets along with lovely boutiques and coffeeshops. You will find gorgeous murals in opera ally, decedent chocolate shops and antique stores filled with treasures. Located only 5 miles North of the property. 

The Clarke Museum proudly displays the rich history of Humboldt County, which includes vibrant Native American cultures, gold rush settlements, the lumber industry, prosperous ranching, farming and livelihoods wrung from the sea. Walking through period rooms and changing exhibits, visitors can glimpse Victorian elegance, remarkable craftsmanship, and everyday work, home, life and play from Humbold

This famed road, easily the most scenic drive among the redwoods, has been called the finest forest drive in the world. Lined by titan trees, the 31-mile Avenue parallels Highway 101 and offers an excellent alternate (and slower) route through southern Humboldt County. Mostly flat with gentle curves, it passes secluded forest hamlets, campgrounds, picnic areas, and access points to the Eel River, 

About 40 mins north is the tiny seaside town of Trinidad. Here you will find fresh seafood on the peir, The Hights Tribal Casino, amazing beaches, and quaint shops and galleries.
